A Traveler’s Tale

Was he merely a life lesson, or someone meant to help you become more acquainted with yourself?

A question she spent a long time pondering on, trying to make sense of everything that had unfolded so quickly. Time hadn’t let her breathe — it kept pulling her back, as though the past refused to loosen its grip.

What was it in the air at that time that felt so different.

She tried to return to that city to salvage any remaining pieces, only to find that every corner felt unfamiliar — as if everything had vanished the day he took that flight home. They are long gone, long dead.

It was loss, but of a different kind , the loss of something that was never truly hers.

She sat beneath the lamppost under the full moon, reminiscing the night when he took her to dance in the rain. No one has ever asked her to dance, not even once, and the fact they danced in the rain made everything so poetic. She took her journal out and began writing…

“I am a firm believer that someone walks into your life to help you get acquainted with yourself and help you realize something you’ve never thought you had within you.

There is an inexplicable reason that neither you nor the person know for sure, but when the time comes, the dots will connect and everything will make sense. I once met a traveler who was kind enough to let me walk into his life that’s full of adventures and who, unintentionally, instilled a sense of adventure and curiosity about the world to me.

The one who helped me to realize something that I’ve been longing for for so long, something that I never thought I needed. I am a firm believer that someone walks into your life carrying a bag of purpose, and once the purpose is served, they will come back to their trajectory of life and bid you farewell.”
